Built-up felt roofing is a tried and tested method of flat roof waterproofing. A typical warm-roof system would consist of a vapour control layer, thermal insulation and two or three layers of bituminous waterproofing membranes. Recent years have seen significant technological developments in this area, with modern membranes offering the very best in fire protection and environmental performance.

Built-up felt roofing systems are typically installed in refurbishment situations and are well suited to a variety of buildings, including schools, hospitals, social housing (flats) and leisure centres.
